Stillness in our hearts
It's funny how easily humans can adapt. This big shift has allowed us all to recenter, refocus and be better to ourselves and each other. It is really amazing to see how every day, the world remains so still, although we are all still taking part in life in other smaller ways. Like little animals in our own little nests we cook, we read, we work and practice self-awareness.
Today it is raining and more then usual the stillness resonates. As I sit and enjoy a whipped coffee with a touch of rum. I realize that in a way the world needed this. Maybe not humanity (or maybe so) but nature. I think with everything on pause, the earth is regenerating and so we are too. We will, sooner or later, know the effects of it all.
Enjoy the stillness of the world while you can. It won't last forever. This is a once in a lifetime event (lets hope).
Here is the famous whipped coffee recipe that's been circling on social media lately. It is good and fun to make, so give it a try.
Whipped coffee:
2 tbsp Instant coffee (Nescafe)
2 tbsp Brown sugar
2 tbsp Hot water
Whisk by hand for about five minutes (if you have an electric mixer, great! Use it)
Once the cream is whipped take a glass and add a couple ice cubes, some rum and milk of choice. Then top with whipped coffee and give it a good stir.
